Cranstoun Drug Services was established in 1969. Forty years on and Cranstoun Drug Services is a leading organisation in the arena of drug and alcohol treatment, that continues to embrace the principles and philosophy of our founders. We aim to be the ‘first choice’ independent organisation in the UK, making an impact on the harm caused by drugs and alcohol to individuals and communities. Through our innovative and vital services, we care for some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. We provide a range of services, all specifically designed to meet the needs of drug and alcohol users. We offer a range of services in London, the South East Region and the West Midlands, including residential treatment, crisis intervention, supported housing, community day centres, harm minimisation services, needle exchanges and drug intervention programmes We have also established specialist provision for young people, services for women, stimulant services and distinct alcohol services. Over 40 years Cranstoun Drug Services has remained responsive to changing needs in the community and in our society, and has continued to be innovative and pragmatic in its approach and delivery of services. Assisting our service users to reach their full potential is at the centre of all we do. We wish to celebrate 40 years of success, resulting from the hard work and dedication of our staff – both past and present, and of our founders who will be part of this occasion. We are planning a series of events during 2009, details of which can be found on this page.
