In the last year our teams have managed and delivered over 42 services to 8,500 individuals across London, the South and Central regions. The costs of providing our core services are met through the delivery of local contracts and by monies raised through fundraising activities. To provide some context to our request for support, the cost of a place for one client in a rehabilitation centre for one week is £640 and the cost of delivering a group for survivors of sexual abuse is £105 per week. In addition to our core activities, as part of a holistic approach, we offer a variety of activities and support to our clients. For example, we offer social and leisure activities which contribute to health promotion, developing self-esteem, and can aid access to further training and education. In this way, we aim to encourage clients to develop a sense of responsibility and discipline, participate in team work and most importantly give them a purpose and structure to their day. We encourage members of staff to train in the delivery of complementary therapies, such as acupuncture, reflexology, yoga and massage. We also utilise the time and dedication of our volunteers to contribute to providing the greatest range of resources we can offer.
