Milton's Inspirational Talk
Milton's "Inspirational Talks " is a monthly get together, where
programme graduates accessing education, training or employment
opportunities, share their journey to recovery, talk about work or
learning life, top tips on motivation, determination & success,
and how to maintain a positive lifestyle.

BBC Oxford filming at Cranstoun's Women's Service
BBC Oxford (across the Thames Valley) broadcasted
a TV piece on the Friday 29 October at
6.30pm, also a radio piece on Radio
Oxford on the morning of the 29nd and an online feature of
a client's story.
The main focus is about the work that Cranstoun's Women's Service
is doing to help girls on the streets, the state of the issue at
the moment and also touch on this new aspect about a pilot to help
the under 18 year olds on the streets as well.

Official Opening of the Creche at Cranstoun CDA
Reading.
Please make a note in your diaries: Official Opening of the Crèche
at Cranstoun CDA Reading on Wednesday 20th October 11am -
3pm. There will be a session around 12pm
to launch the crèche with opening speeches.
Service users and staff will be showing people around the
building, explaining the programme and showcasing their work. Food
and drink will be available all day.

BBC filming at Cranstoun's King Henry's
Walk
Aired 18 October on the Inside Out television programme at 7.30pm.
Documentary on American Barbara Harris and Project Prevention, a
project which offers incentivised birth control and sterilisation
to addicts - both male and female.
Several Cranstoun staff and service users participated in a group
discussion with Barbara Harris to discuss our concerns of bringing
Project Prevention to the UK. Maria Cripps (Cranstoun Dovetail) was
also interviewed and provided information about the work of
Cranstoun and the Service.

Positive Futures and the Army organising assault courses for young
people
Location: Pirbright

Feedback: The
events went really well. The teenagers seemed to have a great time
and learn a lot from those days. MP Justine Greening also joined
the group on 24 August.

Cranstoun taking part in the Police Open Day in Andover
Andover Police Station opens its doors to the public so they can
see all aspects of police work. Attractions include Police dogs,
finger printing, Hampshire Search and Rescue, and a chance to meet
your local police .
Cranstoun will be present on-site to give the public further
details about drugs & alcohol, hand out information about the
Drug Intervention Programme (DIP) in Hampshire and basically
explain what Cranstoun does!
This event is free so feel free to attend it!
