How to Donate
You can now donate by texting
"CRAN12" followed by an amount between £1, 2, 3,
4, 5 or £10 to 70070.
This has recently been set up by
JustGiving in partnership with Vodafone.
Example:
I would like to make a donation of
£3 to Cranstoun. I then text CRAN12 £3 to
70070.
A message confirming my donation is then sent to me. If I'm a UK
taxpayer, I also have the possibility to add Gift Aid to the
donation*.
You can donate online using a debit
or credit card, either as a one-off donation or as a regular
monthly donation. Donating online is simple, fast and totally
secure and if you are a UK tax payer an extra 28% in tax will be
added to your donation at no cost to you
Donate online using a credit or debit card now by clicking
on the "Just Giving" icon below.

Alternatively, you can donate by

* Note on Gift Aid
Gift Aid isn't you paying more!
The Gift Aid scheme is for gifts of money by individuals who pay
UK tax. Gift Aid donations are regarded as having basic rate tax
deducted by the donor. Charities or CASCs take your donation -
which is money you've already paid tax on - and reclaim the basic
rate tax from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on its 'gross'
equivalent - the amount before basic rate tax was deducted.
Basic rate tax is 20 per cent, so this means that if you give £10
using Gift Aid, it's worth £12.50 to the charity. For donations
between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011 the charity or CASC will also
get a separate government supplement of three pence on every pound
you give. |
