Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of an initiative to engage hard to reach individuals with complex needs who are not engaging with other services.
You will run a Needle Exchange service in supported housing and in Pavilions Static Needle Exchange.
You will contribute to the long-term engagement and re-engagement of those in treatment services to enable them to minimise the harm associated with their behavior and then progress through and into recovery. You will undertake initial assessments of clients’ needs and determine and participate in the delivery of appropriate interventions. You will also provide key work for an allocated caseload, giving support, guidance, and advocacy.
Experience of working with drug and alcohol misuse and individuals with complex needs is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers.
