£28,202 – £32,600 per annum (including Inner London Weighting)
Average 13 shifts per month including days, nights and weekends on a rolling rota basis (We provide a 24 hour service)

City Roads is one of a number of drug services, in London and across the country, run by the Charity, Cranstoun. City Roads is a busy 20 bedded inpatient detoxification unit and Cranstoun are seeking to appoint highly motivated and committed Substance Misuse Nurse’s on a full time basis, who will be working within our drug and alcohol service. The post holder’s will ensure a high standard of care and effective communications within internal teams, external agencies and community based treatment services.
The successful candidate will ideally be qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and hold a valid NMC pin. Previous experience working with Blood Borne Virus’ (BBV) and substance misuse users would be beneficial. Applications will be welcomed from Mental Health Nurses with experience in the addictions field and/or General Registered Nurses with 2 years post qualification experience with a genuine interest in this field.
From the outset, you will be responsible for a caseload of clients with a range of issues; these could include Hepatitis and HIV. This role will offer you a variety of different duties on a daily basis including clinical interventions around detoxification and/or stabilisation, providing support and advice through one to one sessions and substitute prescribing for a medical focused recovery. In addition, you will be required to provide harm reduction advice and to deliver individual care plans to assist with positive recovery.
