Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of our high performing integrated community drug and alcohol service in the London Borough of Sutton. You will be working within our Switch team as one of our Young People Recovery Workers, working in a small dedicated team providing treatment and support to under 18 year olds who are misusing substances, as well as delivering wide range of prevention interventions throughout the borough.
You will be expected to provide treatment interventions based from a comprehensive assessment of need. You will develop meaningful care plans, also highlighting risk and potential risk, to support young people. You will work on an outreach basis, seeing clients in various settings, including their homes.
You will also be expected to run drug and alcohol educational programmes within the local schools including working with and supporting families. You will be required to work in partnership with other agencies to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for young people. Additionally, there will be a requirement to work at local community services clubs on occasional evenings.
You should have experience of working with young people and their families and possess a clear understanding of their needs, as well as have a strong knowledge of drugs and alcohol.
